Story Line: Harry Potter continues to face the shadow of Dark Force Voldemore, especially mentally. The wizard school had a new principal and things changed as a result.
What's good: Typical of Harry Potter series.
What's bad: Nothing new or exciting. It almost feels you are now watching a TV series not an epic movie. Can't compare with Lord of Rings.
Bottom line: I guess you have to watch it if you have been watching the previous Harry Potters, just to keep up with the story line.

Bourne Ultimatum
Rating (1-10, 10 being highest): 9.5
Quick Rating: (skip, watch, watch when no other choice): Definitely Watch
Story Line: Jason Bourne hops all over the world trying to solve the mystery of his beginning and true identity. He had to deal with a couple assassins, who are as tough.
What's good: Good Action throughout and the movie is fast paced and there is really no dull moment.
What's bad: Nothing to pick from.
Bottom line: Great movie and this 3rd installation of Bourne movie continue the tradition of greatness. Can't wait for the 4th one. Hope Matt Damon will keep going.

Pirates of Caribbean: At World's End
Rating (1-10, 10 being highest): 6
Quick Rating: (skip, watch, watch when no other choice): watch when no other choice
Story Line: 3rd pirate installation: the movie starts as the group went to Singapore to get help from another pirate lord for a ship and crew to go to the twilight zone to get Jack Sparrow and his Black Pearl ship back to human earth. A final showdown comes between the British Navy, the Flying Dutchman ghost ship and its captain Devy Jones, and Jack Sparrow's group.
What's good: Music and screening continues to be good as previous installments. The movie still have a couple comedy moments.
What's bad: I am not a big Pirates of Caribbean fan, neigher do I like the previous two installments. I think the movie tends to be too dark, and not very intense fight or action scenes.
Bottom line: If you are a Pirates of Caribbean fan or liked the previous movies, this one will not disappoint. Whatever degree you liked the preious ones, this one will probably stay at the same level. So your call.

Horrors of War
Rating (1-10, 10 being highest): 1
Quick Rating: (skip, watch, watch when no other choice): skip it
Story Line: Allied soldiers find some unhuman German soldiers.
What's good: nothing!.
What's bad: One of the worst movies I have ever encountered. I had to turn it off within 10 minutes, and I have been very patient. It's as if some jo blow dress in a soldier costume and shot this low budget movie in the backyard woods.
Bottom line: Worst movie. Don't even think about renting it.

Closure

Quick Rating: (skip, watch, watch when no other choice): watch when no better choice
Story Line: Gillian Anderson's character and her new boy friend get attacked by a group of men and they set out to revenge.
The Good: Gillian Anderson is probably the only reason you watch this movie, if you are her fan. It does include a couple nude scenes of her.
The Bad: Don't let the sniper scope on the DVD cover fool you. This is not an action movie. This is no action at all. It's a low budget movie too, very limited settings. The sex scene is not sexy either.
Bottom line: The movie is more about emotion. No action and no plot. It is not a bad movie though. Gillian Anderson did a good job to make the movie at least watchable though not enjoyable.

Yakuza Demon
Rating (1-10, 10 being highest): 2.5
Quick Rating: (skip, watch, watch when no other choice): skip it
Story Line: A lower ranked Yakuza member goes out to stir the pot and to kill rival larger clan's heads and the inter-clan revenges ensue on.
What's good: at least I watched till the end.
What's bad: no good action sequence - there is really nothing good about this movie. It is a 2003 movie but it appears to more like a 1970s movie. The picture quality is even grainy. I don't know why people on Amazon give such a high review. That's why I am creating this blog site so people who are a typical guy can rely on this review board than Amazon.
Bottom line: In a mood for an asian gangster movie, you are better off to watch a hongkong movie. Don't watch this one.
